The COPY command is flaky and has always been that way. Even using a defined PATH in a batch file. That is how you got some corrupt files of Abasic that I sent you. There is an option in MYMENU2+(Mybasic pgm) that allows you to backup your HD. Program creates a batch file with defined paths for each file. Then from Mdos it backs up the entire HD using the copy command. When these files are restored sometimes the progress info on the screen indicates the file was not restored(copy command), but when you check, the file is there. The Abasic corrupt files was the first time that I had seen a file become corrupt when it was backed up(Copy command) jim. > [Original Message] > From: > To: > Date: 4/11/2004 3:39:16 PM > Subject: [ti-99/4a] MDOS Bug??? > > I've come across this issue a couple of times the last few weeks and > if someone can verify on a real Geneve, I would appreciate it. > > Here's the "setup" one needs. > > Need to have a 1.44 MB floppy connected to Myarc HFDC. > > The floppy needs 15 to 20 files at root level and create 3 > subdirectories with 3 or 4 files in it. > > Try copying files from the Floppy with the Copy Command of MDOS to a > subdirectory on a Myarc HFDC drive.
